 abstract={The ongoing degradation of Ukraine’s Air Force can be halted only by the quick rearming of it with F-16 multi-role jets. Due to delayed U.S. decisions on the matter and the time necessary to train pilots, these aircraft may only make a significant military contribution in spring-summer 2024 at the earliest. In the meantime, it will be crucial for supporters to deliver further air defence systems, combat drones, and offensive missiles to Ukraine. European assistance in the reconstitution of the country’s military aviation should include extensive training, logistics, and weapon packages for the F-16.},
